Orientation Meeting

We had our orientation meeting with our adoption agency last week to explain the next steps in this adoption process. That next step involves finalizing a lot of paperwork, doctor visits, medical lab tests and about $10,000... yeah $10,000. Our agency is a non-profit so they need more of the money upfront. A very nice friend of ours notarized all of our documents for free, what a blessing! We have been thinking about selling our Honda Element and buying a cheap van or something as our second car. We are hoping this will allow us to put about $5,000 towards our goal.

Any place in the Bible where it talks about the “cost” of a person, it is referred to as a ransom. Prices and fees are for things. A ransom is paid for a human life. Matthew 20:28 says, “…just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

We are so excited to move forward and are asking God for wisdom as we take these next steps. Thank you for your prayer and support.
