What an amazing day! Today was the first of two garage sales we are having to raise money for our adoption and the response was great. Even before today we were so blessed to have friends, family, and total strangers bring items for us to sell. We had a little of everything to sell and from 7am this morning to about 1pm this afternoon our driveway was packed with well over a 100 + people. We are so thankful to have such amazing friends and family in our lives, even when the help requires a 5am wake-up call.
We couldn't help but think as every dollar was received it was one step closer to bringing home our daughter, and to really stop and think about it was overwhelming. We have been fearful at times about the huge ransom placed on bringing home an orphan in adoption. In the craziness of this day I felt the peace of God as I stopped to see people willing to pay for things at full price, our friends and family with helping hands, constant traffic on our street, people stopping by for encouragement and donations.... we are so blessed.
