This morning we woke up slowly since my parents had the boys over for a sleepover at there house. I dropped Ian off at work so I could have the car to run errands and get things done before the boys came back. Then I went home, cleaned up the house a bit before running out again. While I was out I heard THE RING.. I gave my case worker a super loud high pitch ring so I wouldn't miss it. Within seconds I thought 'its only 10:45 this has got to be to early for a referral.. but there is no other reason for her to call.' Honestly I don't really remember much about what was said in that first 2 minutes. But we before hanging up the phone so she could call back with both of us on the phone I asked her how old she was. She said she is super tiny - 4 weeks old and 5lbs! I got back in the car and drove to Ian's office - went up the elevator - then back down for the camera - then back up. We called our case worker back on speaker phone and for the next 45 minutes we got to hear all about our little girl. It was an amazing day. so surreal. we are so thankful and humbled to be her parents. God has heard her cry, rescued her and given her a family. Please be praying for her, being so little we want to keep her healthy and for a quick court date!
I can't post any pictures until we bring her home but here is a sneak peak of her adorable fingers :)

And the night we got the referral my parents took us our to dinner and the boys got an icecream after!

She has beautiful skin, a perfect color! I imagine she is supermodel beautiful. I know you can't divulge details until she is legally yours, but how much of her story do you know? Did they tell you anything about her birth parents or how she ended up at Hannah's Hope? Sending positive, nourishing thoughts her way! Now I can't wait for her to come home to you!

I just found your blog, and I wanted to say congratulations on your referral!! That is so exciting! We are adopting a baby from Ethiopia as well, but our youngest daughter's name is Selah, so I, of course, love your baby girl's name!!!! Congratulations again!
